Supporting our community partners

Our Work

Since 2004, Big Sister Foundation has awarded over $6.5M in grants to community organisations providing services to women and families in our local area.

We are the largest non-government funder of women’s support services in the Sutherland Shire. Our grants are currently supporting many community programs.

Where we are working

Early Intervention

Helping mothers with new babies or young children who are struggling financially, emotionally and lacking the support, resources or skills they need to parent. They are often socially isolated and experiencing post-natal depression.

Young People at Risk

Girls and young people at risk due to family breakdown, family mental health, homelessness or other personal and educational challenges.

Domestic violence

Helping women and children living with or escaping domestic violence including post trauma support.
